2013 CSA shares available now!

So, look, if you want a CSA share and you live in the Chicago area (the north side of the city, the near north suburbs, and the far west suburbs in particular) you should really think about signing up with us for 2013. We might have the most diverse offering of produce in the area, and you are sure to get enough food to feed a family of four normal vegetable eaters every week. If last year is any indication, summer will knock your socks off with (among other things) enough tomatoes to can, dry, or maybe even bathe in should you get sprayed by a skunk and have no other recourse. Not kidding. If you are skeptical, email or message us and we'll send you some references so you can get the honest-to-goodness scoop from an actual member.

The dirty details: you'll get a share of veggies, herbs, flowers (edible and/or beautiful), and fruits for 20 weeks from mid-June till the end of October. We offer lots of varieties so you are not getting the same thing every week, and we try really hard to incorporate fruits and herbs so you can cook a well-rounded, tasty meal. All our crops are open pollinated/heirloom because we believe in growing plants that can reproduce should we decide to save the seeds. Plus, open pollinated crops tend to be more interesting and downright tastier. You are always welcome to come out to the farm just to hang out or see how your food is grown. In fact, we prefer that you come out.

For returning members, drop-off spots and times are a bit different this year, but we hope you're able to roll with it. You can pick up in Wilmette, Lincoln Park, Batavia, and at the farm on Wednesday afternoons/evenings.
